Are you like me, looking forward to embracing the lighter nights, sunnier days and opportunities to get out and about and enjoy nature? I can’t wait to feel the sun on my face (and pop my Gucci’s on!!)
For me, there is nothing better than business meetings outside – walking and talking with clients and colleagues and enjoying the surroundings.
Being out in the fresh air really is so good for us (source kent-teach.com):
It is good for our digestive system
It helps improve blood pressure and heart rate
It makes us happier
It strengths our immune system
It cleans our lungs
Its gives us more energy and a sharper mind
Whenever I am looking for inspiration for my business, or simply want to go and chat to some through some ideas, I always meet up with Matt Glover and Claire Denton. Friends, colleagues and business professionals, both with a shared love of being outside and thinking of how we can work together to improve our businesses. Everyone needs a gang!
Our wellbeing is much improved when we take our meetings outside. You can enjoy the sounds of the trees, the nature around you (maybe the odd squawking bird) and breath in the fresh air. Tomorrow, why don’t you take your lunch break outside, get away from your desk and enjoy that sunshine (weather depending of course)
Would your clients think you were a but strange if you suggested meeting up in a country park? Yes, they might do, but they also might thank you for a chance to walk, talk, and get to know you better. Our business relationships are much improved when we get to know our clients and colleagues on a more personal level.
Why don’t you suggest an outdoor location for your next meeting? You never know what ideas will come from a walk in the park.

My recent brand shoot with Matt Glover Photography and Yellow Glove Productions included a large amount of time outside. A big part of my job as an events professional is being outside (in all weathers) to oversee to operational and logistical delivery of an event.
If you can plan an event outside in a muddy field in the rain, you can plan one anywhere!!
As you can tell, I am a big fan of the outdoors. I may complain about my hair getting wet or my boots getting muddy, but deep down, this doesn’t really bother me. I would rather be clocking up the miles outside, enjoying the sights and sounds than being in an office 24/7!
