The importance of mentoring

I have been a mentor for the NOWIE Level Up programme for the past two years now, and have loved every minute of it!

Jenny, Laura and Janica have all been fabulous to get to know, support in their development and watch as they grow into fantastic events professionals.

Whether you are new to your career in events or at a bit of a crossroads, finding a mentor to help can be a game changer.  A mentor is someone who is willing to give up their time and chat to others about work, life, careers, self confidence, brand, visibility.. anything really.  A mentor is there to support and encourage… and also learn.

I see the mentor mentee relationship as a partnership.  We can learn and support each other.

Life and work can get very busy and all consuming, if you can share a few hours a month to be a mentor, I guarantee you will find it rewarding.
