Hi, I'm Karen! Endlessly energetic about events. Obsessively organised. Bringer of fun (and cake!)
You want your event to ooze pizazz, precision and polish. But organising it alone is exhausting. Tons of to-dos. A shed-load of suppliers. And plenty of possible problems.
I set up Bright Events because I love a good problem. Yes, really. I believe effective problem-solving is critical to event success.
I’m happiest with a project plan in one hand and a walkie talkie in the other. Think of me as your event planner and operational delivery partner.

When it comes to pulling off a successful event, it's all about the three Ps: people, planning, and problem-solving.

Think running orders, theme ideas, timings, layouts & suppliers; I plan all the tiny details of your event so you can go big (then go home to relax).
event logistics
Venue management, delegate travel, equipment & resource logistics; I make sure all the things (and the people) are where they need to be.
event delivery
On-the-day supplier, exhibitor & delegate management; I’m your single point of contact (and the face of your event if you need me to be).

COP26 | Green Zone | UN Climate Change Conference
As the Exhibition Manager for COP26 in Glasgow, I coordinated engagements with 120 world leaders and managed 40,000 attendees. My responsibilities included overseeing the Green Zone, coordinating exhibitors, installations, and prioritising safety with my NEBOSH Qualification to ensure seamless operations throughout the event.
Conservative Party Conference ICC | Birmingham
Contributed to the success of the Conservative Party Conference held at ICC Birmingham by overseeing 450 fringe events, managing networking activities, coordinating exhibitors, supervising marquee construction, and facilitating VIP arrangements. The impactful outcome of the event resulted in a gracious visit from then-Prime Minister David Cameron to No. 10 Downing Street as a token of appreciation.
COP28 UEA | Blue Zone | UN Climate Change Conference
As a Hybrid Producer at COP28 in the UAE, as a member of the Digital Services Team, I oversaw digital output, welcomed virtual participants, facilitated their access, offered technical support, and guaranteed the seamless delivery of the virtual event. Drawing from previous experience in virtual events, I ensured a smooth and successful outcome.
